co-matter digest #49: What is the future of food and communal dining?
Dr. Johnny Drain: The Future of Food and Communal Eating
A scientist who cooks professionally, Dr. Johnny Drain co-founded MOLD magazine alongside LinYee Yuan to delve into the ideas that will revolutionize the way we produce, prepare and eat in the future. At co-matter, we believe the ritual of eating is one of the most powerful ways to bring people together. But how will this develop in the future as our food chains continue to evolve and technology increasingly impacts our eating habits? We caught up with Johnny, who took part in our Community Leadership Summit #2 in Berlin earlier this year, to find out.
What went down at the 3rd Community Leadership Summit?
Our latest Community Leadership Summit #3 saw the highest turnout so far, with nearly 100 people from around the world coming together in Copenhagen last Friday to explore the power of movements. It was amazing to see so many community leaders from across different industries connect and share their insights. All the talks, photos and a podcast conversation with Zebras Unite will be available here soon… Keep your eyes peeled!
The next Summit will take place in early 2020 in Berlin. If you’re interested in joining us, sign up here for super early bird priority top access (aka be the first to know about the date and topic ;). In the meantime, scroll down to see some of the highlights from the day.
