Samsung NEXT Stack Zero Grant
A global grant program to make the future web more open, interoperable and transparent.
—
We have been working long-term as an external team with Samsung NEXT, Samsung’s global innovation group. This close partnership has resulted in several programs with the aim to nurture and support the startup ecosystem at large. One of them is Stack Zero.
Samsung NEXT’s Stack Zero Grant is a 500,000$ non-equity grant program to support early-stage teams building decentralized technologies with funding, expertise, and access to the Samsung NEXT network.
We’ve prototyped and executed the program in close collaboration with Samsung NEXT’s technical director, Ricardo J. Méndez, and the global communications team.
Involving the decentralization community from the beginning - through interviews, feedback sessions and an advisory panel - Stack Zero received more than 100 applications and awarded nine teams with grants between $25,000 and $75,000.
Following its launch in 2018 Stack Zero continues to further support teams building technology that make future web more open, interoperable and transparent.
