It's been silent here over the summer mostly due to Techfestival: a six day festival that gathered 16,000+ people in Copenhagen to explore the relationship between humans & technology.

As a project that was built on collaboration we had over 400 co-creators host 132 events over six days. This was not only a massive undertaking in terms of production, but also in providing the community with the right tools to manage their events successfully.

To share our learnings, Kristoffer Tjalve and I sat down and wrote a little manual on Medium.

  • How to build a simple community platform using free tools such as Zapier,  Typeform Google Spreadsheets, Typeform, Eventbrite and Mailchimp
     
  • How marketing automation tools such as Zapier can foster meaningful interaction between two parties without any human intervention
     
  • How a setup like this supports collaboration between participants and enables them to retain ownership over their projects
